The 2022 BMW 2-Series coupe comes to this fall and we could not be more excited. Despite the presence of the first BMW front-wheel round series, the two-door cut version will always be equipped with a standard rear wheel transmission (with AWD available) motivated by a 4.0 liter turbocharged online-four or a 3.0. -The turbocharged engine online-six.
BMW recently unveiled the 2022 Series 2 coupe in dynamic test mode. The rumor has the next series 2 will inherit the Giant Kidney Grid of the 4 Series Coupe, and our suspicions are confirmed despite heavy camouflage. Nevertheless, we hope that the production car has a rear end (and more sporty) with a new set of taillights, while the forehead will have a new lip spoiler and a new front separator.
The 2022 BMW 2 series is initially arrived in the RWD 230i and AWD M240i configurations. Following a continuation of an AWD 230i XDrive and RWD M240i, the latter of what we pin the most. BMW claims that an eight-speed automatic arrives in the M240i, but we will have to wait for official confirmation if a six-speed manual is in the work.
The 2-Series 230i BMW has a 2.0-liter turbocharged with four pumping 248 horsepower and 258 feet torque. We have no word if the 2.0-liter spriteness receives a power upgrade, but the M240i gets 47 other horses, raising the output to 382 horses from the previous 335HP.
In addition, the AWD M240i is a rearward system offering the sensation of conducting a transmission to the appropriate rear wheel, but with more adhesion in weather conditions and the variable road. The 2-Series Coupe is a more rigid body of 12% that the outgoing model with larger front and rear tracks to improve handling and stability. It even gets more rigid support bearings on the front axle to strengthen the directional sensation.
We will know more about the 2022 BMW 2 series and maybe a new M2 variant before the first deliveries arrive at BMW dealers this fall. Standard prices and equipment will follow at a later date. The 230i and M240i Xdrive will be on sale first, while the 230i Xdrive and the RWD M240i will follow next year as models 2023.
